Welcome to Biodanza!
Since April of 2005, Biodanza has been a regular feature of most Leela events,
appearing at Festivals, Yes Parties, Puravida, CEP and Singles Weekends and many more.
Beautifully led by Niraj it has proved to be a huge success, touching and inspiring
the hearts, bodies and souls of many of our regular and first time visitors alike.
Through the progressive, gradual and sensitive evolution of a class, participants are
able to safely expand their potential for the expression of joy, happiness, pleasure,
tenderness, affection, sensuality and love.

We explore 5 basic areas of expression in each class; Vitality, Creativity,
Sexuality, Affectivity and Trancendence and dances are done individually, in
pairs and as a group. The music is sublime, having been carefully chosen and refined
over the past 40 years to fully support the experience each exercise is designed to
stimulate. Biodanza is great fun! Its intention is to bring more life to life, and
ask anyone who has tried it here and they will tell you it certainly does that!

So popular has Biodanza been at Leela that we started a school in Jan 2008 to
train teachers in the technique.
School Update - August 2010
Be a Supporter!
The Dorset School of Biodanza enters the last phase of its first cycle, and trainees
embark on the journey of transition from students to fledgling teachers (Students Under
Supervision). During this series of weekends they learn what to say and how to say it, what
to do and how to do it, taking their first steps towards becoming Biodanza teachers by learning
how to put together a class and then delivering it. They gradually increase the time spent practising
the art of teaching with each successive module, and working together in small teams preparing,
then presenting their work (vivencias). There will still be vivencias led by myself, or visiting
School Directors, but not as many as the first two years of the cycle, in order to make space for
more in-depth methodological training. This means these weekends are not as suitable for nonmembers
of the school.
Special offer November to February: come as a Supporter for only £135!
Take part in two sessions led by the Facilitator, plus one or more supervised sessions led by
students. All levels are welcome – it makes the students’ practice more real. You also have free
time to enjoy the grounds and gardens, hang out in the Coffee Shop, Healing Centre or Osho
library or go for a walk in the local countryside. It’s a great way to begin or extend your Biodanza
experience, or just lend your support and have a relaxing weekend into the bargain. What’s more,
we are now offering childcare / kids-club facilities during session times as long as we know a
week in advance.
